Into The Wilderness

Mark 1:12-13 (ESV)

12 The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.

When those in the body of Christ receive the Spirit, they immediately find themselves in the wilderness of the world to be tempted by Satan. The world has not changed, but the one reborn into the life of God has changed. 

The wilderness becomes the time of testing and perseverance in our faith in the Lord. We return to the Garden of choice where Adam fell from grace. Our hope is to eat from the tree of life at the end of our journey. It is our faith in Jesus that will get us there. He has made the way and He is with us. 

Of The Holy Ones

Psalms 89:5 (ESV)

Let the heavens praise your wonders, O LORD,

your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!

Being holy is derived from the presence of the Lord, whether in heaven or on earth. 

1 Peter 1:16 (ESV)

since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Our Work Of Art

Our brains are constantly in a state of readiness and motion that adapts to the fluidity of life. It is the canvas that receives the pigment of our experiences. The brush we use will not be relinquished until our last day. The painting is unique and our own. It will be judged in the gallery of heaven by our Creator who is the greatest artist in all of creation.  

How We React

Every thought we have affects our bodies, our minds, and our future. It will confirm our thinking, modify our thinking, or cause us to think in a new way. Our bodies respond to these thoughts, physically and emotionally. We are molded in this way. Some of which we have control and influence and some not. How we react to life is one thing that belongs to us.

This Generation

Psalms 12:7-8 (ESV)

7 You, O LORD, will keep them;

you will guard us from this generation forever.

8 On every side the wicked prowl,

as vileness is exalted among the children of man.

The times of today must be getting similar to the days of Noah just before the flood. On every side the wicked prowl and the Devil likewise prowls about like a roaring lion. Without the Lord we would be lost, without hope. But we are not without the Lord. 

We are the generation, as is everyone who believes, who will be with the Lord prior to the great tribulation. Blessed be the Lord, for His love endures forever. 

The Racism Of Biology

If boys can play on girls sports teams, then all girls sports should stop immediately. If girls team sports is stopped, then all boys sports should cease in the interest of equality and fair play. It is against our enlightened sensibilities to assume and use such old fashioned designations in a time when we at last understand that gender is fluid and even optional. We are no longer confined by biology, but have the freedom and right to be what we think or feel each day. 

Teams designated as girls and boys teams are part of the problem here in America. This qualifies as part of the systemic racism that pervades our country. 

Government Constraints?

Does anyone remember when the constitution used to guide and constrain our government? What happened to that government? When did it happen?
